The BuyBreck Team Happenings: Moose, Mountains, and a Bit of Casa Bonita Chaos
The past month has been a whirlwind of mountain adventures, local discoveries, and some very memorable moments here in Summit County (and beyond).
We kicked things off with one of our favorite Breckenridge hikes, Baker’s Tank. This beautiful, easy trail winds through aspens and evergreens and offers a breathtaking overlook of Goose Pasture Tarn. We hiked it while Brady’s dad, Brad, was in town visiting, which made the views and fresh mountain air even more special.
After our hike, we made our way to the brand-new RMU rooftop in downtown Breckenridge. If you haven’t been yet, put it on your list. The 360-degree views of the Tenmile Range and the surrounding peaks are unreal, and the vibe is the perfect mix of mountain-casual and elevated.
Back at home, we had some unexpected (and very large) visitors. A pair of moose with truly impressive racks wandered into the pond right next to our house. Brady couldn’t resist flying his drone to capture the scene, and the footage is incredible. It’s not every day you get such an up-close look at these majestic animals in their natural habitat.
We also headed down to Denver for a totally different kind of experience: dinner at Casa Bonita. After making our reservation six months ago, we finally got to step inside the newly revamped restaurant. Between the cliff divers, over-the-top décor, and an energy that can only be described as “organized chaos,” it was a wild and unforgettable night.
Unaware of the fun to be had at Casa Bonita!
Another exciting stop this month was touring through Brightwood in Keystone. Right now, it’s still very much an active construction site, but the location is excellent and the community will offer something rare: the opportunity for buyers to incorporate custom upgrades into their homes. Walking through the framing and foundation stages really brought the vision to life, and we’re excited to see how this development takes shape.
Off the clock, we’ve also been spending more time on the tennis courts this summer. Whether it’s a quick rally in the evening or a longer weekend match, it’s been a great way to stay active and enjoy the sunny days. Plus, the friendly competition keeps things interesting!
To wrap things up, we want to highlight one of our current listings: 220 E La Bonte #317 at the Lodge at Lake Dillon. We just captured new drone shots of this property yesterday, and they perfectly showcase its unbeatable lake and mountain views. With its prime location in Dillon, easy access to year-round recreation, and those jaw-dropping panoramas, it’s a true gem for anyone looking to own in Summit County.
