Experience one of Breckenridge’s most impressive winter traditions during the 36th annual International Snow Sculpture Championships, January 23–February 2, 2027. Teams of world-renowned artists from around the globe will transform massive 25-ton blocks of snow into intricate 12-foot-tall sculptures using only hand tools, with sculpting taking place January 23–27 at the Riverwalk Center. Visitors can watch the creations take shape, vote for their favorite during People’s Choice voting January 25–28, attend the free Awards Ceremony on January 27, and explore the finished sculptures throughout Viewing Week from January 27–February 2. The sculptures remain on display 24/7 and are illuminated each evening until 10:00 p.m., creating a dramatic outdoor art gallery in downtown Breckenridge. The event is free and open to the public.
