Silverthorne Short-Term Rental Rules

The Town of Silverthorne, Colorado adopted a zoned approach to STR licensing. The zones are as follows:

  • Area 1: Allows 10% of properties to obtain STR license

  • Area 2: Allows 50% of properties to obtain STR license

  • Area 3: Allows 0% of properties to obtain STR license

UPDATE: As of 3/25/2024, there are short-term rental licenses available in Silverthorne’s Area 1 and Area 2. Waitlists will be opened if zone 1 or zone 2 reach their license caps.
