Silverthorne STR Regulations
The Town of Silverthorne regulates short-term rentals through three licensing areas.
Area 1, which includes the majority of Silverthorne neighborhoods, limits STR licenses to 10% of residential units.
Area 2, which includes the Town Core and Riverfront areas, allows STR licenses for up to 50% of residential units.
Area 3, deed-restricted neighborhoods, does not permit short-term rentals.
Current License Availability:
License availability depends on the applicable STR area and the number of active licenses at the time of application. Buyers should check the Town of Silverthorne’s current STR count and confirm availability directly with the Town before relying on a property’s ability to obtain a license.
