Summer Adventures, Market Buzz & Mountain Magic
We hope your summer is off to a great start! We wanted to share a little snapshot of what we’ve been up to lately, both here in Summit County and abroad, and highlight a few reasons why this time of year is so special in the mountains.
We just returned from an incredible trip to Italy and Greece, where we revisited Rome and Athens after more than 15 years. We packed in nearly 30,000 steps a day exploring ancient ruins, charming neighborhoods, and enjoying delicious local food. From Athens, we ferried to Mykonos for a close friend’s wedding. The island’s natural beauty, vibrant energy, and blue-and-white magic completely swept us away. After dancing the night away at a beautiful oceanfront ceremony, we spent one final day in Athens before heading back home to Breckenridge.
Since being back, we’ve been enjoying both mountain biking and road cycling. Summit County offers an incredible variety of mountain bike trails with everything from challenging climbs and fast descents to peaceful scenic routes. We’ve also been spending time on the paved recreation path that stretches from Breckenridge to Vail. This trail winds through aspen groves, mountain views, and fresh alpine air. It truly feels like something from a travel book, the kind of place listed as a must-do experience because of its natural beauty. We feel so lucky to have it right in our backyard.
The Dillon Farmer’s Market is now in full swing. We were pleasantly surprised to find fresh produce already available on opening weekend. Colorado cherries, tomatoes, mushrooms, local honey, regenerative meats, and a wide range of to-go food options were just some of the highlights. It’s a favorite local tradition that never disappoints.
We’ve also been hosting open houses at our new listing at Lodge at Lake Dillon. The unit features beautiful views, abundant natural light, and a thoughtful remodel. Its location is ideal, just steps from the rec path, Dillon Amphitheater, Farmer’s Market, and everything downtown Dillon has to offer.
And of course, we’ve been proudly cheering on the Pacers in the NBA Finals. As native Hoosiers, it’s been so exciting to watch them shine this season and advance through the playoffs.
If you’re thinking of visiting Summit County soon or simply want to talk about the local real estate market, we’d love to hear from you.
